Enchanting and exclusive even in her name, the Riva 82’ Diva stole the show this September

Notable in the world of high-end, high-performance yachts for nearly two centuries, Riva is known for dependability, top-quality materials, beautifully designed interiors, sporty-lined exteriors and detailed Italian craftsmanship throughout. The Ferretti Group brand originated in Lake Como in northern Italy 181 years ago, and recently launched the Riva 82’ Diva—the largest model in the Diva line.

Making its world premiere at the annual Cannes Yachting Festival in September, the 82’ Diva features unusually generous outdoor areas, designed to allow close contact with the sea.

Within an overall length of a fraction under 25.3 metres and a 6.1 metre beam (at maximum width), the impressive 39.9 sq m upper flybridge deck is one of the largest for this size of yacht. Flybridge lounge, dining and bar areas are at its centre, under a protective carbon-fibre hard top with glass panels. Further forward are an open helm station and a sunpad-cushioned sunbathing area, while a double sunlounger deck lies at the flybridge aft.

On the main deck, a “beach club” zone features two drop-down side decks that increase the width by over three metres, making it a perfect spot for waterside activities or relaxation. A garage can accommodate a high-speed tender of up to a little over four metres, and other marine toys. At the centre of this deck, a raised cockpit has sea-view sofas in a large living area, and a large saloon lounge and dining space leads to a contained helm station. Finally, there’s an outdoor sundeck with forward-facing sofa seating and sunpads: the ideal place to host sundowners.

On the lower deck, four grand en suite cabins include the particularly spacious, bright VIP room, while two separate crew quarters sleep three—accessed via a dedicated walkway on the side of the superstructure.

At top speeds of either 29 or 31 knots, from a choice of two engine types, the new Riva 82’ Diva lives up to its name—boasting highly polished furnishings and enchanting exterior design, and achieving the perfect equilibrium of functionality and comfort.
